Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports is known around the sports community for having some blistering hot takes. It’s part of his schtick and something that makes him a somewhat popular figure in the sports talk community.

But Cleveland Browns No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield has shown over and over again that he’s not about to back down from Cowherd. It continued with this recent tweet.

The always outspoken Mayfield took that to a whole new level in an appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd on Thursday. And it’s all sorts of amazing.

Essentially, Cowherd is calling Mayfield out for running to the student section to celebrate with fans after a touchdown against Ohio State this past September. Mayfield’s reaction could pretty much be everyone at this point. Not only that, he took a subtle shot at Cowherd by simply laughing at the host.

For what it’s worth, Mayfield and the Sooners defeated Ohio State, 31-16, with the quarterback accounting for three touchdowns and 386 yards passing. As Mayfield noted, he did indeed celebrate with the team after Oklahoma scored its other three touchdowns in the game.

But how dare he celebrate with the fans. God forbid a player has fun with those supporting his team.
