PGA Tour golfer Lucas Glover was involved in a bizarre incident that ended with his wife being arrested for domestic violence following his round on Saturday at The Players Championship.

TMZ attained details of the incident involving Glover, his wife Krista, and his mother.

“According to the report, Lucas’ mother had cuts on her arms and blood on her chest when cops arrived … and said Krista had attacked both her and Lucas,” the TMZ Sports report said. “When cops made contact with Lucas, he said the fight started after he played a bad round of golf at the Players Championship earlier that day.”

TMZ also cited the official police report, which said “Lucas advised me every time he plays poorly in a tournament, Krista begins yelling at him, stating he is a ‘loser’ and ‘p*ssy’ and ultimately starting an altercation with him about his performance.”

Krista also allegedly kicked the door of the police car upon her arrest, separating the door from its frame.

Glover released a statement about the incident on Tuesday.

Glover was at five-under after two rounds at Sawgrass, which comfortably made the 36-hole cut. But a 54-hole cut was also needed and with a 78 on Saturday, Glover missed that.

Glover is currently 95th in the FedEx Cup standings and 104 in the World Golf Rankings. Glover has won three times on tour, including the 2009 U.S. Open.
