Dodgers activate Clayton Kershaw from the DL

After having missed almost the entire month of May with biceps tendinitis in his left arm, Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw has been activated from the disabled list.

He’ll start Thursday for the Dodgers against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Kershaw, 30, went down to injury in just his seventh start of the season. He was pitching to a 1-4 record with a 2.86 ERA and 1.14 WHIP at the time of the injury. This came on the heels of the three-time Cy Young winner starting only 48 games between the 2016 and 2017 seasons due to multiple injuries.

Los Angeles enters Thursday’s action with a 26-29 record and in third place in the NL West. The defending NL champs will need Kershaw to both remain healthy and pitch at an elite clip in order to return to the World Series this season.
