Vikings extend LB Eric Kendricks with five-year, $50 million deal

The Minnesota Vikings are locking up another young player for the long term, extending linebacker Eric Kendricks to a reported five-year deal worth $50 million, $25 million of which is guaranteed.

The Vikings announced the extension on Monday morning. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported the details of this extension.

Kendricks, originally a second-round pick out of UCLA in 2015, has started 41 games for the Vikings since his rookie campaign. A very well-rounded linebacker, he’s racked up 314 tackles, two interceptions (both returned for touchdowns) and 7.5 sacks in his first three seasons as a professional.
