Rams CB Nickell Robey-Coleman worried about opposing QBs?

Nickell Robey-Coleman tackles Pierre Garcon

It’s no secret the Los Angeles Rams feature a fearsome defense now, having added the likes of Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib. The team also re-signed slot specialist Nickell Robey-Coleman, who almost seems to be feeling sorry for opposing offenses heading into the 2018 season.

On Sunday, Robey-Coleman sent the following message out to his Twitter followers.

It’s a really good question.

Whether we’re talking about Los Angeles’ ability to bring pressure up front, or the team’s insane trio of defensive backs now that Talib and Peters have joined Robey-Coleman, Lamarcus Joyner and John Johnson III in the backfield, it’s going to take some very precise execution from opposing offenses to make anything happen through the air.

And the scary part here is that the Rams can get even better. There are some holes to fill, particularly on the edge and at linebacker.

On paper, the Rams appear to have the most terrifying pass defense in football heading into the 2018 season. On paper, teams should be very concerned about going up against this unit. But games aren’t played on paper, and it’s going to be fun watching defensive coordinator Wade Phillips put all the pieces together. If anyone can make this on-paper nightmare become a real one, it’s the Son of Bum.
