Odell Beckham Jr. says he’ll be at Giants’ facility for OTAs on Monday

As rumors continue to swirl about a potential trade from the New York Giants, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is planning to be at the team’s facility for the start of organized team activities on Monday.

This is actually a pretty big story in the OBJ drama. If the star receiver had decided against showing up for the Giants’ first OTAs under newly hired head coach Pat Shurmur, it would have been a clear indication that something was definitely awry behind the scenes.

While his presence in Jersey likely won’t snuff out trade rumors, it seems to be a clear indication that OBJ expects to be with the Giants next season.

Reports last week suggested that the Giants are unlikely to trade Beckham. Though, a countering report noted that one NFC team turned down this trade offer from New York. This comes after OBJ did not work out with Eli Manning and teammates earlier in the week.

In any event, we’re unlikely to see a resolution to this issue until the 2018 NFL Draft takes place later in April. If OBJ is still on the Giants once that annual event has concluded in Dallas, there’s little reason to believe he’ll be traded before next season.
