Washington Wizards All-Star guard John Wall has missed the past 27 games after undergoing knee surgery. While Washington has been able to stay above water in his absence, getting the guard back in the mix will be key to the team’s postseason success.

Washington announced that Wall will indeed return for Saturday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.

At 41-34 on the season, Washington is currently the sixth seed back east. The team is pretty much locked into a playoff spot and has an outside shot of earning a top-four seed.

In the 27 games that Wall missed, his Wizards posted a 14-13 record. They have lost nine of their past 14 games and are seemingly limping into the playoffs.

Prior to going down to injury, Wall was averaging 19.4 points and 9.3 assists per game.
