Tyrod Taylor has tremendous quote about being ‘bridge’ QB

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor in NFL Week 4

The Cleveland Browns are almost certainly going to use either the No. 1 or No. 4 overall pick to draft a quarterback. Because of this, many view Tyrod Taylor as nothing more than an adequate bridge to keep the team from drowning until that young quarterback is ready to play.

As you likely know, the Browns traded with the Buffalo Bills to bring Taylor on board recently. He was at the podium on Thursday being introduced by the team when he addressed being a bridge quarterback for the team.

Taylor said, “Hopefully I’ll ‘bridge’ this team to a Super Bowl and that’s the plan,” per Mary Key Cabot of Cleveland.com.

We’ll give that response a 9.9 out of 10. Just tremendous.

Obviously Taylor has a huge chip on his shoulder, and really who can blame him? Despite posting a winning record as a starter. Despite throwing 51 touchdowns and just 16(!) interceptions the past three years in Buffalo, Taylor was not seen as a player worth banking on for the future by the Bills.

Throughout his entire career, Taylor has been underappreciated and undervalued. He now has another chance to prove his doubters wrong, and he sure seems to have the correct approach to his current situation.
