Sister Jean looked much different the last time Loyola went to Final Four

Sister Jean

The rise of Loyola-Chicago during the 2018 NCAA Tournament has been one of the biggest stories of March Madness. And while the Ramblers continue to shock the world on their way to the Final Four, Sister Jean — the team’s amazing 98-year-old chaplain — has emerged as one of our favorite new celebrities.

Loyola hasn’t made it to the Final Four in 55 years. A lot has changed in the world since then. On that note, just check out this picture of Sister Jean from 1963.

Father Time will never be denied, but it’s pretty amazing to see just how well Sister Jean has aged over the decades. Her smile warms the heart, and there is so much life in her eyes. And as the sports world has quickly learned, her mind is as sharp as a tack and full of good humor.

Now she and the Ramblers are headed to San Antonio for another date with destiny.

It’s hard not to be a Ramblers fan right now.
