Report: TE Eric Ebron signing two-year, $15 million deal with Colts

Eric Ebron

The Indianapolis Colts have finally made a significant move this offseason, bringing in former Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron on a two-year, $15 million deal per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Ebron had been a big disappointment for Detroit, which used a No. 10 overall pick to land him in the 2014 NFL Draft. His most productive receiving season came in 2016 when he caught 61 passes for 711 yards and a touchdown. This past season he hauled in 53 passes for 574 yards and four touchdowns.

The Lions recently released Ebron, making him a free agent. Now he’s cashing in on a likely incentive-laden contract and could have a big impact as a go-to receiver for Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts offense.
