Report: Packers trade former first-round pick Damarious Randall to the Browns

Green Bay Packers cornerback Damarious Randall

The Cleveland Browns are anything but boring on this Friday. The latest comes from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and notes that Cleveland has acquired cornerback Damarious Randall from the Green Bay Packers.

Randall was selected 30th overall by the Packers in 2015. He played in 39 games over three seasons. During this stretch, Randall recorded 142 combined tackles, 32 defended passes, 10 interceptions and two touchdowns. He also dealt with various injuries and underwent a minor hand surgery in January.

As of yet, the compensation received by the Packers for giving up Randall is not known. But it is apparent that the Browns are shaking things up big time. The trade for Randall follows two blockbuster moves that sent both wide receiver Jarvis Landry and quarterback Tyrod Taylor to Cleveland.

All of this and NFL free agency has yet to officially kick off.
