Report: DeMarco Murray visiting the Seahawks

As the Seattle Seahawks continue to see their roster gutted by free agency, trades and releases, the team is looking to fill one major hole. Quarterback Russell Wilson led the team in rushing with 586 yards last season. Not a single running back on the roster put up as much as 250 rushing yards.

In an attempt to remedy this situation, Seattle is apparently hosting recently released former Tennessee Titans running back DeMarco Murray for a visit on Wednesday.

This seems to make sense in that it could give Seattle a stabilizing veteran option in the backfield while the team looks to add a long-term solution in next month’s draft.

Murray, 30, put up 925 total yards and seven touchdowns last season. Though, he also averaged a pedestrian 3.6 yards per rush. This came on the heels of a 2016 campaign that saw the former NFL Offenive Player of the Year record 1,664 total yards and 12 touchdowns for the Titans.
