NFLPA releases statement supporting players’ right to protest

Browns

Reports have emerged that both the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins would stay away from players who protest during the national anthem.

Both the Texans and Dolphins have attempted to clarify their stances and in light of that, the NFLPA has released a statement.

For now, it seems as though the two sides are on agreeable terms. It’s also worth noting, though, though, that former NFL quarterback Jake Plummer has recently called out teams for not signing Colin Kaepernick.

But given the volatile nature of this issue, emotions could change quickly.

This will definitely be an under-the-radar, potential elephant-in-the-room type of storyline during the offseason. It will certainly be worth watching as the free agency period progresses.
