Michael Bennett compares former teammate Marshawn Lynch to a ‘thug’

Michael Bennett

Just recently acquired by the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles from Seattle, three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Bennett is not shy about speaking out against his former Seahawks squad.

Appearing on The Bill Simmons Podcast (h/t NFL.com), Bennett described what type NFL personalities win championship games. He basically said teams don’t win championships with a ” whole bunch of Russell Wilson’s.” Instead, Bennett said you have to have “three or four Marshawn Lynch’s” in the mix.

Bennett went into further detail, saying he thinks guys who might not show up to work, or might “drop kick the coach” are the teammates that are going to help win. Summing up his opinion, Bennett says you need only one nice guy “that prays” and some “thugs” to get the job done.

As we all know, Bennett is one off the most outspoken players out there and is never afraid to openly share his thoughts.

But for now, Bennett seems to be embracing his new career opportunity. He has also boldly predicted that his new Eagles defensive line will be the greatest in NFL history.
