LOOK: Marlins fans don’t waste any time with the brown bags

The Miami Marlins are going to be bad this season. Really bad. Potentially historically bad. In what is likely an omen, Miami yielded three runs on one hit in the first inning of the season against the Chicago Cubs on Thursday. Heck, Cubs outfielder Ian Happ homered on the very first pitch of the MLB regular season.

Pretty much in unison with this ugly on-field display, Marlins fans didn’t waste any time showing the team what they think of it.

Welp. That didn’t take too long.

The Marlins’ new ownership group, led by Derek Jeter, conducted a mass fire sale this winter. They moved reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton was well as fellow stars Dee Gordon, Christian Yelich and Marcell Ozuna. Needless to say, there’s no real hope that this team is going to be competitive in 2018.

Opening Day just proves just how fruitless this season is going to be. And Marlins fans already know it.
