Derrius Guice pulls motorist from car after accident

LSU running back Derrius Guice

Not all heroes wear capes. Some put on football helmets and uniforms to play a game for a living. Soon-to-be drafted former LSU running back Derrius Guice is the latest example of this.

Guice took to Twitter on Friday to detail an accident that he witnessed in Baton Rouge. The story is about as harrowing as it gets. But Guice didn’t freeze. He put on his cape and acted.

Here’s his story.

Now, this is where it gets even more interesting.

That’s all sorts of amazing right there. Maybe NFL teams can now ask Guice about his part-time work as a superhero rather than this dumb question.

Guice is expected to be a first-round pick in next month’s draft. The simple fact that he went into harm’s way to save a complete stranger leads us to believe this young man will do just fine in the NFL.

Well done, Mr. Guice. Well done, indeed.
