With the NBA trade deadline mere hours away, a late suitor for Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan has emerged. According to this one report, the Toronto Raptors are making a push for the veteran big.

As Stein notes, a third team would likely have to get involved in this trade for it to come to fruition. In order to make a deal happen, the Raptors would have to rid themselves of Jonas Valanciunas and his contract. That’s not anywhere near the type of player Los Angeles would want as part of a package for Jordan. Though, other teams could definitely use Valanciunas’ bulk and rebounding ability.

As for the Raptors, they enter Thursday’s action as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and are just one game behind Boston for the top spot. They don’t need to make a move, but someone of Jordan’s ilk would set the team up nicely moving forward on the season.
