Former NFLer Jonathan Martin taken into custody after school threat

Former Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Jonathan Martin posted a seriously disturbing threat directed at his former Harvard-Westlake High School in Southern California on Friday. The threat was taken so seriously that the school was shut down for the day.

Now, according to multiple media reports, Martin has been taken into custody be authorities in Southern California following the threat.

The Instagram post included a photo of an assault rifle with the hashtags of both Harvard-Westlake and the Miami Dolphins. He also mentioned former teammates Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey, who were at the center of the bullying scandal surrounding Martin with the Dolphins back in 2013.

The good news here is that Martin has been taken into custody without any school violence going down. There’s no word on his physical condition. Though, we’re pretty darn sure his mental condition isn’t too good right now.

We’ll have further updates as they become available.
