The Tennessee Titans are looking for a new head coach following the shocking news that Mike Mularkey was fired on Monday, and Mike Vrabel appears to be an early favorite to land the vacant position.

According to Jason Wolf of The Tennessean, Vrabel has “the early inside track” to land the job.

As Wolf noted, Vrabel, who’s been the the linebackers coach and then the defensive coordinator of the Houston Texans the past four years, was the first man Titans general manager Jon Robinson interviewed on Thursday. Robinson has reportedly also interviewed Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks (heavily tied to the Arizona Cardinals) and Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur.

Vrabel has also been tied to some other head coaching vacancies himself and was considered to be a finalist for the Indianapolis Colts job.
