Report: ‘Belief is’ LeSean McCoy will play Sunday

LeSean McCoy

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, currently day-to-day with an ankle injury, is reportedly expected to play Sunday when the Buffalo Bills take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Officially, McCoy is listed as questionable, with NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reporting “the belief is he’ll play.”

The dynamic veteran running back had to be carted off the field last Sunday in the team’s final game, a win over the Miami Dolphins that secured the organization a playoff spot for the first time since 1999.

Even if McCoy does play, it seems unlikely he’ll be anywhere close to 100-percent healthy. That said, the Bills desperately need McCoy in the game if they have any hope of beating the Jaguars, who feature the NFL’s scariest overall defense.

During the 2017 season, McCoy rushed for 1,138 yards, totaling 1,586 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns.
