Marcus Smart

The Boston Celtics are going to be without guard Marcus Smart the next two weeks after he suffered a laceration to his right hand, which apparently occurred during a fit of rage.

Smart himself took to Twitter Friday to express his “sincerest apologies” and admitted he “swiped at and hit a picture frame on the wall.”

Smart is a key player for Boston. He averages just over 30 minutes, 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. Needless to say, the Celtics will be hard pressed to replace that production while he’s out.
