The road back to the field starts now for Carson Wentz. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback underwent ACL surgery on Wednesday. According to team owner Jeffrey Lurie, it was a success.
#Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie told me Carson Wentz’s ACL surgery today, done by Dr. Bradley in Pittsburgh, went “very well.” Wentz wanted to do it as quickly as possible to begin rehabbing for 2018.

As Marc Sessler of NFL.com noted, “operations of this nature typically require a 9-to-12 month healing period.”
Wentz finished the year completing 60.2 percent of his passes for 3,296 yards with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Philadelphia clinched the NFC East with its win in Los Angeles and enters Week 15 holding the No. 1 overall seed in the conference.
