Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson ‘seriously considering’ running for president

The Rock Dwayne Johnson

Could we see former WWE wrestler and current movie star, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson run for president in 2020? According to the man himself, it’s a possibility.

Johnson was on “The Ellen Show” and was asked point blank if he’d run. In response, he said, “I’m seriously considering it, yes.”

In the same interview, Kevin Hart, Johnson’s “Jumanji” co-star, threw his support behind The Rock.

“You know what, the world that we’re living in today, you’re seeing the real effect that genuine people like Dwayne have, and the one thing about him is he’s very serious when it comes to spreading that love, that laughter and the up selling of life on a positive level. If he were to put himself in that position, he would get my support whole heartedly … I know where his heart is. I really know him. So I know if he puts himself in that position, it’s for the better of the people, I can only applaud him and support him for doing that.”

Johnson’s enthusiasm for running is consistent with what he’s said in the recent past. In May, he outpolled current United States President Donald Trump.

Certainly, we’re a long way from 2020 and a lot can happen between now and then as it relates to the presidency. But if nothing else, a debate between President Trump and The Rock would be awfully hard to turn away from.
