New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning in NFL Week 1

After 210 consecutive starts with the New York Giants, quarterback Eli Manning will ride the bench while Geno Smith starts in Week 13.

This was a decision Manning had some say in. He declined to start in order allow Smith and rookie Davis Webb to have some time under center, noting the streak was pretty pointless if the idea was to get the young guys involved anyway.

The Giants are currently 2-9 and must figure there is not much to lose by experimenting with Smith and Webb.

As we can imagine, this breaking news has sparked all kinds of reactions on Twitter. There’s the laughs, the tears and of course, the fantasy football fallout.

The Giants hit the road in Week 13 to play the Oakland Raiders. Buckle up, because this looks to be a bumpy ride.
