Report: Michael Crabtree, Aqib Talib could be suspended

Raiders receiver Michael Crabtree being escorted off field

According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib and Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree could be suspended. Both players were immediately ejected from Sunday’s game after a big fight broke out.

The league is reportedly looking into suspensions because both players continued to escalate things rather than allow the fight continue to wind down.

Prior to Crabtree and Talib tangling, the wide receiver sucker-punched Broncos cornerback Chris Harris. Not long afterwards, Talib yanked Crabtree’s famous gold chain from his neck and all heck broke loose.

Any reported suspensions would of course be gut punches to both players’ respected teams. Crabtree is the most productive receiver on the Raiders. Meanwhile, Talib is a defensive back who plays a major part in defending heavily targeted wideouts such as Crabtree.

Soon enough, both players’ fates for Week 13 will be decided when the league comes up with its decision.
