Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo not only got traded this week, but he also celebrated his 26th birthday on Thursday.
The new San Francisco 49ers quarterback could have found tons of amazing things to do in the big city to celebrate. But when asked what his plans were, Garoppolo surprised with this answer.

Well, that’s awful boring. But, it shows true dedication to his new team. At this time, head coach Kyle Shanahan will not commit to Garoppolo even playing at any point this season.
Garoppolo will certainly have his hands and brain full with getting up to speed on his new team’s playbook. For now, rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard will remain under center and attempt to pull his team out of the winless category in Week 9.
But, if he continues to struggle and the 49ers keep losing games, Shanahan might have a change of heart when it comes to Garoppolo playing.
In the meantime, it is awesome to see Garoppolo embracing what was an entirely abrupt career change.
