The Seattle Seahawks will be without starting free safety Earl Thomas, who’s dealing with a hamstring injury, in Week 9 when the Washington Redskins come to town.
Brady Henderson of ESPN reported the news Friday afternoon, noting, “Bradley McDougald will start in his place.”
Thomas injured his hamstring in Week 8 on the long touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson to DeAndre Hopkins. He could be seen pulling up a bit and reaching back towards his hamstring on that play.
Washington will also be short-handed offensively in this one. Quite aside from its offensive line issues, tight end Jordan Reed has also been ruled out with a hamstring injury of his own.
