Bears TE Zach Miller finally at home three weeks after traumatic leg injury

Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller

It took three long weeks, but Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller is finally at home following the traumatic leg injury he suffered, which caused an extensive hospital stay.

Miller tweeted the good news to his fans Monday evening.

The injury occurred during Chicago’s road game against the New Orleans Saints. Miller jumped up to haul in a pass and came down hard on his leg, but the turf didn’t give at all and the weight of his entire body came crashing down on his left knee.

The result was a catastrophic injury that required urgent vascular surgery to repair a torn popliteal artery to save his leg.

It’s unknown at this time if Miller will ever play NFL football again. However, it appears his recovery is going as well as it could, and we wish him nothing but the best as that process continues in the coming days and months.
