Aqib Talib tells his side of the story about fight with Michael Crabtree

It is abundantly clear that there is a big beef between Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib and Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

Once again in a repeat of history from last year, Talib snatched Crabtree’s gold chain and yanked it from his neck. It is not surprising that punches followed, which led to both players’ ejections from Sunday’s game.

Talib has since come forth to explain his side of the story, saying all he did is come out “to play football on Sunday.”

Talib also said he did not know what Crabtree “came out to do” and that “one thing led to another.”

He said Crabtree “wanted to wrestle all day.”

When asked about Chris Harris, who Crabtree sucker-punched before the fight, Talib said his actions had nothing to do with defending his teammate.

Talib told the reporters he watched the rest of the game from the locker room.

Regarding fines or possible suspensions, the NFL has yet to hand down any punishment. But in the end, Talib and Crabtree’s actions hurt their teams. The Raiders not only lost Crabtree early, but they also lost wide receiver Amari Cooper to a concussion.

As for the Broncos, they lost altogether, and Talib’s absence as one of the top defenders hurt their game. Denver now sits in the AFC West basement with a 3-8 record.
