Tyler Eifert, John Ross both ruled out for third straight game

Tyler Eifert

The Cincinnati Bengals will be hosting the Buffalo Bills Sunday without two of their top offensive weapons, Tyler Eifert and John Ross. Both the tight end and receiver have been ruled out ahead of the big game against the surprisingly tough Bills.

The Bengals were criticized by many for deciding to select Ross with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Some teams took him off their draft board completely because he came into the draft process with some significant red flags for health issues. He’s been almost invisible for the Bengals so far, running the ball once for 12 yards in Week 1. Since then, Ross has been out with a knee injury.

Eifert has been injury prone since his second season. The talented tight end has now missed 28 games due to injury since the start of the 2014 season. He’s currently dealing with a back injury, which has been a problem for him in the past as well.

The Bengals have won just one game so far in 2017, and that was against the Cleveland Browns last weekend. Beating the Bills, without two of their top offensive weapons, will be a difficult task to accomplish.
