Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford on Monday Night Football

Case Keenum will be under center for the Minnesota Vikings for a third consecutive week when they take on the hapless Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Keenum is replacing an injured Sam Bradford, who has seen a grand total of less than two quarters of action since suffering what’s being called a bone bruise to the knee early in Week 2.

The backup’s presence under center is based solely on this. And it looks to be a long-term solution for Minnesota. Bradford was once again absent from practice on Wednesday, now making it more than two weeks since he’s taken to the practice field.

There was a report earlier in the month that Bradford’s injury could be career threatening. We’re definitely not ready to go that far. But based on how long it’s taking for him to recover from this most-recent injury, it would not be a surprise if Teddy Bridgewater saw the field again before Bradford.
