Report: Giants’ Janoris Jenkins suspended for violating team rules

Janoris Jenkins

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is quickly becoming a no-nonsense figure for the suddenly downtrodden franchise. Earlier in the season, the Giants suspended Pro Bowl cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Now comes this report indicating that the team has suspended fellow corner Janoris Jenkins for violating team rules.

There are no further details available here. But it’s readily apparent that McAdoo simply isn’t going to put up with drama on his team.

New York enters Week 9 with a 1-6 record and in last place in the NFC East. It is going nowhere fast this season. In reality, changing the culture in the locker room might be the best way for McAdoo to make a point as the season itself plays out.

Jenkins has been one of the best cover guys in the NFL since signing a free agent contract with the Giants prior to last season. From a football perspective, he’ll be missed big time Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
