Missouri head coach used what to inspire team after blowout loss?

Barry Odom and the Missouri Tigers are 1-5 on the season after a blowout 53-28 loss to Georgia on Saturday. The team has been a complete dumpster fire since Odom took over as head coach last season, posting a combined 5-13 mark.

It’s apparently led to an interesting motivational tactic from a coach who could already be on the hot seat. In speaking to the media Monday, Odom indicated that he bought a can of lighter fluid and used it in his address to the team following its most-recent loss.

Odom didn’t provide any further context, which leaves us completely out in the cold. Did he light a dumpster on fire? Maybe, the defensive-minded head coach lit his defensive playbook on fire.

Through the first six games of the season, Missouri is yielding an average of 42.2 points per game. That’s fourth-worst in the FBS.

So about that dumpster fire possibility, again?
