Florida Atlantic has reinstated wide receiver Kalib Woods, who was suspended the first six games of the season due to felony battery charges, which are still pending.

According to his lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, Woods will take the field Saturday when the Owls take on North Texas.

“I applaud the university or doing the right thing despite the fact that criminal charges are still pending,” Gottlieb said, per OwlAccess.com.

Woods was the top returning receiver for the Owls. He led the team with 68 receptions for 934 yards in 2016 and figures to be featured prominently as he works his way back into the offense.

For his career, the redshirt senior has tallied 111 catches for 1,487 yards and six touchdowns.
