Teddy Bridgewater: ‘Definitely believe I’ll play this year’

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has resumed practicing after receiving medical clearance. It has been 14 long months since we have seen Bridgewater in action, but he plans to suit up this season, according to Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune.

We have to appreciate his confidence here. Bridgewater has been drawing praises from his teammates who say he looks completely normal and unlimited in practices.

The Vikings have 21 days counting from Wednesday to decide whether to add Bridgewater to the 53-man roster or place him on injured reserve.

With how well Bridgewater has reportedly been performing, though, injured reserve doesn’t look like an appropriate landing spot.

If Bridgewater is placed on the active roster, it will be up to the Vikings to decide if they want to give him a chance. In the meantime, Case Keenum is starting in place of Sam Bradford, who is currently not healthy enough to be on the field.
