Report: Browns WR Corey Coleman has broken hand

Corey Coleman Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer will need all the help he can get to progress under center as the season moves forward. Following a five-turnover performance in Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens, it looks like Kizer and his Browns were dealt another major blow.

According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, second-year receiver Corey Coleman suffered a broken hand in the loss.

Coleman, a former first-round pick from Baylor, also missed six game to a broken hand last season. So that stands to be the timeline for his return to action here.

The young pass catcher tallied just one reception for nine yards on seven targets against a swarming Ravens secondary on Sunday. With him sidelined for at least the next month-plus, any chemistry the Browns had hoped to build between Kizer and Coleman will have to wait.
