Local establishment to serve a ‘Dirty Goodell’ drink Thursday in New England

NFL gambling, Roger Goodell

When Roger Goodell arrives to Gillette Stadium for Thursday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots, he will be met by clown towels bearing a remarkable resemblance to his own face.

Considering Goodell likely won’t be greeted in the best of manners by fans in Foxborough, maybe he will want to retire to Davio’s at Patriot Place for a nightcap. At this point, we wouldn’t blame Goodell.

Unfortunately for the highly embattled commissioner, that local establishment is also having some fun at his expense. On Thursday, the Italian steakhouse will be serving a drink called the “Dirty Goodell.”

It will cost $14 and includes Keel Vodka, Domaine de canton, bitters, lime juice and soda water.

Goodell himself is still not a popular figure in New England after levying a four-game suspension to Tom Brady at the start of the 2016 season for the quarterback’s alleged role in the Deflategate scandal.

This is the first time the commissioner will attend a regular season game in Gillette since handing Brady the aforementioned suspension.

So again, maybe he should head over to this establishment and pour a few down to pay homage to himself. That would definitely be prime Goodell.
