The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has issued a small statement in response to Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett’s claims that he was a victim of police brutality.
While the statement didn’t say much, it did note that the “case is under investigation,” and urged the public to “reserve judgment.”

The statement was in response to a Twitter post that Bennett made on Wednesday morning, where he alleged that he was mistreated by police in Vegas following the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight on Saturday, August 26.

A video was later released by TMZ Sports showing part of the incident in question.
Stay tuned for the department’s official statement, as well as any response to it from Bennett, his representation, or really anyone else. We certainly have not heard the last of this case.
