Iron Man: Joe Thomas logs 10,000 consecutive snaps

Joe Thomas blasted United Airlines

Making his 162nd consecutive start on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns, All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas logged his 10,000th consecutive snap.

Not surprisingly, fellow Cleveland superstar LeBron James was quick to congratulate Thomas for his achievement.

Selected No. 3 overall by Cleveland back in the 2007 NFL Draft, Thomas has never missed a game. He’s suffered through some of the worst teams the NFL has to offer, all while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, grit and straight-up outstanding play — a combination rarely seen in today’s game.

Thomas has recently admitted he suffers from some memory loss, though he’s not sure if it’s due to football. He’s also not ruling out retirement after the 2017 season.

The Browns aren’t ready to contend for a playoff run quite yet. But as DeShone Kizer appears to be the real deal, they might have the ability to do it next year, or the year after that. With that in mind, don’t be surprised if Thomas feels inclined to stick around to see if Cleveland can move past the Factory of Sadness era before he’s finished playing.
