The first possession of the preseason did not go according to plan for Chicago Bears quarterback Mike Glennon, who threw a pick-six to Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris.

To cut Glennon a little bit of slack, there was a rush. But as a veteran quarterback, he should have seen that rush coming and thrown the ball away, or even taken the sack. Throwing that kind of pass into traffic is a no-win proposition.

While Mitchell Trubisky is third on the depth chart, Glennon knows that he’s competing with the No. 2 overall pick. Passes like this one are not going to help his cause.
