WATCH: Beautiful touchdown catch from Lions WR Kenny Golladay

Look at this awesome TD catch from Lions rookie Kenny Golladay.

The Detroit Lions didn’t open up the preseason on the greatest of notes. Franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford was picked off on just his third attempt of the game against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday afternoon.

But after Stafford and the rest of the team’s starters departed, Detroit’s backup offense came through big time.

Here, you will see rookie wide receiver Kenny Golladay hauling in a 23-yard touchdown pass from fellow youngster Jake Rudock. It was a thing of beauty.

Golladay, a rookie third-round pick from Northern Illinois, has been super impressive thus far in training camp. There’s definitely a chance he will ultimately play a big role on offense behind the likes of veterans Golden Tate and Marvin Jones.

More plays like this during the preseason will go a long way in that coming to fruition.
