Former NFL head coach Greg Schiano is excited to be in Columbus these days coaching up the defense of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Speaking about his current gig with the Big Ten Network, Schiano praised his current defensive line while throwing a bit of shade at his old NFL team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Greg Schiano tells BTN this Ohio State defensive line is better than the ones he had in the NFL with the Buccaneers

It’s worth pointing out that Schiano did single out Gerald McCoy as a special player and that he’s talking about the entire line in this context. Though, it’s also worth pointing out that in 2012, which was Schiano’s first year with the Bucs, that he had McCoy and Michael Bennett, who’s one of the best all-around defensive linemen in football.
Ohio State features dominant talent across the board as one of the true powerhouse programs in college football. So it’s not surprising that Schiano is gushing over the players he has on his defensive line. Guys like Sam Hubbard, Dre’Mont Jones, Michael Hill, Tyquan Lewis and Nick Bosa, the younger brother of NFL star Joey Bosa, will wreak havoc for the Buckeyes all year long.
Still, one can’t help but wonder if a bit of hyperbole is at work here.
