One day into the season and the league leader in home runs is San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner. Yes, you read that right, Madison Bumgarner is the league leader in home runs.

Bumgarner became the first pitcher ever to hit two home runs on Opening Day with an absolute bomb in the seventh inning off Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Andrew Chafin. The ball traveled 422 feet, perĀ Statcast, with a 112.1 mph exit velocity.

The Giants lead the Diamondbacks 4-3 in the seventh.
