They had to wait a day, but the Cleveland Browns finally got their quarterback. With the 52nd overall pick of the draft, Cleveland selected Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer.

Kizer joins a quarterback room that includes Cody Kessler, Kevin Hogan and Brock Osweiler. The Browns certainly hope that he can live up to the Cam Newton, Tom Brady comparison that Kizer gave himself not once, but twice.
If he’s anywhere near that good, it will be an unquestioned plus for Cleveland, who is looking for its first true franchise quarterback since returning to the NFL in 1999.
