The NFL’s 32 owners will vote Monday on the Oakland Raiders’ plans to relocate to Las Vegas. It’s been somewhat of an uneven process for Mark Davis and Co., but it sure looks like the Raiders’ owner will get his wish to relocate to the desert metropolis.

According to MMBQ’s Albert Breer, one ownership source told him that the belief is the Raiders currently have 27 or 28 votes in their favor.

“One ownership source told me Tuesday that he believes the Raiders and Davis have 27 or 28 votes,” Breer reported on Thursday. “A high-level source with another team said his belief is that if the league senses Davis won’t get the necessary 24, the vote likely would be pushed to May, before adding that he fully expects a vote.”

As Breer notes, the Raiders need a two-thirds majority (24 votes) in order for the league to approve their relocation to Las Vegas.

Seen as almost imminent earlier in the year, this plan was thrown for a loop when Las Vegas Sands Corp. CEO Sheldon Adelson pulled his vast amount of money out of the project. Since then, the Raiders have found other sources, namely Bank of America, to secure funding.

If approved, construction on the $1.9 billion Las Vegas venue would begin shortly with the Raiders themselves uprooting from Oakland by 2020. Monday’s vote could potentially make this imminent.
