Report: Nuggets have made a ‘monster offer’ to Pacers for Paul George

Paul George

Indiana Pacers All-Star forward Paul George has been the subject of trade rumors for some time now. As the NBA trade deadline itself neared on Thursday, these rumors heated up big time.

Deciding whether to build their team around George or simply start all over again with Myles Turner as the central focus of a rebuild, Indiana has been engaging trade scenarios on multiple fronts.

And apparently they received a monster offer from the Denver Nuggets for George.

The details of the offer are not yet known, but it sure looks like it wasn’t up to snuff for Indiana.

We know that Emmanuel Mudiay has been on the trade block for some time. It stands to reason that he would be a part of said offer. Outside of that, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Kenneth Faried have also been bandied about as possible trade bait over the past several months.

For their part, the Nuggets have been proactive on the trade front — bringing in Mason Plumlee from Portland earlier this month. Surely a team with playoff aspirations this season, Denver has done everything possible to build around a solid young core. Obviously, that includes making a play for a big-time All-Star in the process.
