Arizona Diamondbacks bench coach Ron Gardenhire is dealing with a challenge far greater than any on the field — the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
The club made an announcement on Tuesday, making it clear that they stand with Gardenhire.

That’s certainly a sad diagnosis. All anyone can do at this point is to hope for the best.
Gardenhire is in his first season as bench coach for the Diamondbacks. From 2002-2014, he was the manager of the Minnesota Twins.
