Witness claims Ezekiel Elliott ran red light leading to car accident

Ezekiel Elliott suspension

On Wednesday, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was involved in a minor car crash. The running back was fortunately unscathed. Also fortunate is nobody else was hurt in what was a two-car collision.

Elliott soon tweeted this after the fender-bender took place.

New information has since been obtained from a witness that called 911 after the accident. This is a small excerpt from the call with the 911 operator. The witness alleges that Elliott ran a red light.

“I can tell you that the Yukon cruised right through the red light and hit that car. He almost hit me. I slammed on the brakes. I saw him coming, the witness said, per TMZ Sports.”

This seems to be a tidbit of information that was not originally revealed. Perhaps Elliott was in an extra hurry to get to practice. The accident took place near the Cowboys’ facility in Frisco, Texas.

It will be interesting to see if anything further develops from the witness’s allegations.
