As the Donald Trump Administration continues to face backlash over its immigration policy, the streets of the United States have been filled with millions of protesters.
It started this past weekend when women took to the streets around the United States and the world to protest the policies of the new president. It continued in wholesale form following Trump’s decision to ban immigration from seven countries in the Middle East (via CNN).
Now, it looks like these protests will start impacting the sports world. Here’s a picture of a rather large protest outside the Houston convention center, which is the headquarters for Super Bowl LI.

This is most definitely something to keep an eye on leading up to Super Bowl LI between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons next Sunday.
The Super Bowl itself is seen as an American holiday. The week leading up to the Super Bowl puts the NFL in the national spotlight. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if protesters used this to their favor.
