The once vaunted Minnesota Vikings are now on a three-game losing streak. The most recent loss came at the hands of the Detroit Lions and was sealed on a fantastic catch and run from Golden Tate.
Matthew Stafford. Golden Tate.

There are a few things to look at here.
One, Tate did a great job getting free after catching the pass. In the matter of a few feet, he broke a tackle, stayed in bounds, and ran towards the end zone.
Two, that was a rather spectacular flip on Tate’s part. We’ll unofficially give him an 8.6.
Three, what in the world has happened to the Minnesota pass defense? On a third-and-eight, the Vikings had to be expecting a pass. Yet, while two Minnesota defenders were around Tate, he was wide open. That pass and catch should never have been that easy.
